Welcome!

Rafael's Website

Hi! My name is John Rafael Novera and welcome to my website.

Abucay Project

I was surprised that this project was easy because when it comes to being in the camera or doing something in public, my mood goes down and not have a fun time for the whole day. But at the time, I was weirdly confident and we finished earlier than I thought. There were unexpected trips too, like we went to my old nursery(they still remember me) and a friend's house was just few steps away from it.

Network Security and Netiquette

My background on both is not ...clean and as I'm writing this, I hope that the apps & files I downloaded from sketchy sites are free from anything malicious and the text messages I get from unknown numbers are just my out of country relatives trying to reach me :)No comment on netiquette, you don't want to know, I don't want you to know, do you need to know? because I don't want to know either

Digital Divide

The term "digital divide" describes the difference in access to contemporary ICT between groups of people or persons. The capacity to use and profit from digital technology, as well as access to the internet and digital gadgets, are just a few ways in which this disparity may appear. The digital gap may worsen already-existing disparities and restrict possibilities for people on the wrong side of the split, which might have substantial social, economic, and political ramifications.

Online Platforms for ICT Content Development:

1. Pinterest is a social media platform that serves as a visual discovery and bookmarking tool. It allows users to discover and save ideas for various interests and projects through the use of images, known as "Pins."
2. Google Drive is a cloud-based file storage and synchronization service developed by Google. It allows users to store files in the cloud, synchronize them across devices, and share them with others.
3. GitHub is a web-based platform primarily used for version control and collaborative software development. It's a valuable resource for ICT professionals and developers, providing a platform for hosting and reviewing code, managing projects, and building software collaboratively. It is not a traditional learning platform, but it serves as an essential tool for those involved in ICT content development and programming.

ICT is a Platform for Change

Information and communication technology, or ICT, is without a doubt a powerful force for change that is transforming our daily lives, workplaces, and interactions with the outside world. In today's fast-paced, globally interconnected society, information and communication technology (ICT) is a versatile instrument that propels social, economic, and cultural transformation. The internet, mobile devices, and modern computer technology have all helped to create a dynamic information environment that has removed barriers to innovation and allowed knowledge to flow freely. ICT has the potential to be a tool for change, empowering individuals and communities, closing gaps, and bringing positive improvements to a range of sectors. One significant aspect of ICT as a platform for transformation is the equality of information and resource access. The widespread availability of the internet has democratized knowledge by enabling individuals from all circumstances to participate in online learning, access educational materials, and acquire skills that were previously exclusive to wealthy groups. This democratization of knowledge has the potential to level the playing field and advance a more inclusive and just society. ICT has also changed business paradigms, creating chances for entrepreneurship and economic growth. Small businesses may now reach global markets thanks to online platforms, digital marketing, and e-commerce, which has transformed the economy and created opportunities for financial independence. In essence, ICT is a force for transformation.
